A day long event dedicated to Bangladesh took place in Singapore on December 4, 2012 to convey the country’s success stories and potential to foreign investors.The conference, known as Bangladesh Investment Summit, is an important platform for Bangladesh’s businesses and policy makers to market the country, as it will be attended by more than 200 potential investors from across the world.
Finance Asia and Asian Investor, both published by Haymarket Financial Media Group, hosted the summit at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre, Singapore.
The event, the first-of-its-kind for Bangladesh, represented an opportunity for international investors to learn and share ideas on unlocking capital to grow business, increasing exports in existing and new industries and developing key infrastructure projects.
Senior Officials from aamra companies were present at the event to highlight the potential of Bangladesh as the next destination for Investment. Mr. Syed Faruque Ahmed, Chairman of aamra companies and Mr. Syed Farhad Ahmed, Managing Director of aamra companies led the high profile delegation of aamra. Among others were also present, Mr. Raihanul Ameen – Chief Strategic Officer, Mr. Zahrul Syed Bakht – Group Chief Financial Officer, Mr. AKM Quamruzzaman – Group Financial Controller, Mr. Sharful Alam – Chief Operating Officer.
